standardized testing is for squares

so apparently i did better than i thought on my SAT diagnostic test i took last week.  however, i'm not really sure how well they graded my essay, because i met the teacher guy who did it and he was the most...unteacherlike guy i've ever met.  i really liked him though.  he was so refreshing.  it was interesting - he was like "guys.  you know what they don't teach you in high school?  critical thinking.  that's what the SAT tests you on.  i mean, in college, they might hand you a Karl Marx document and ask you how Marx develops his argument.  they're not gonna ask you that in high school."

.....au contraire.  but okay.
ah, brearley.  love-hate relationship.

and the dude was like "great essay!"  psh.  please.  i wrote about how apple manipulates consumers by making really pretty ads that look clean and fresh.  ahahahaha.

and yeah.  my first session of SAT class was kind of a joke, because we learned like..."what is the cardinal rule of equations?"  and everyone was silent and i was like.  um.  do the same thing to both sides?!  awesome.
