i can be whoever i want to be.
it sounds lame, but seriously. i really can. nobody knows me except for one girl, and she doesn't even know me that well. it's so much fun, creating your own personality.
well, i guess what i really mean is, i love how when you're in a new place, there are no preconceived ideas of you. since nobody expects you to be any certain way, you can just make it up as you go along. be who you always wanted to be. or continue being who you already were. in my case, it's a mixture of both.
at brearley, i guess i was seen as energetic, bubbly, happy, whatever. but i was also always somewhat "the baby" and was shnuggled by everyone. here, i'm still shnuggled, but within myself, i feel more grown up. more mature. i am still small, physically, but from the very first day i told myself i wouldn't be the baby. not this year, anyway. and i guess it shows? because everyone keeps telling me, "oh, you're so cool. you're always so confident." which is interesting, because i often don't feel that confident inside. but it's so different from being at brearley.
also, when i first got here, i guess i was a bit quiet, as all new kids are in the beginning, i suppose. but after about a week i got used to it and started behaving normally, and everyone saw how weird/odd i actually am. and yeah, i guess i'm strange, but i wouldn't have it any other way. it makes life more interesting, you know?
